This is the Department of Immersive Studies. Born from the belief that education, social connection, and storytelling should be indistinguishable, the Expeditionary Society constructs temporary autonomous zones—events where the rules of the mundane world are suspended.

From "Nerd Nite" academic salons in private pubs to AR-enhanced Live Action Roleplay (LARP) scenarios, we design social engines. We turn historical societies into mystery boxes and coffee shops into noir landscapes. We issue merit badges for skill acquisition and challenge participants to step out of the audience and into the frame.
